The Danny Beardsley Trio - Live Vlog
Good day to you all.
After several weeks of gig prep for Oxjam Beeston 2026, the gig was an all-round success, and a lot of fun! It was also a great way to welcome the incredibly talented, Ste Dudley officially to the band. He has really helped give these songs a new lease of life. So much groove!

It was also 8 years or so since sharing a stage with DanDan Hayes (Pick N Licks Co-Host, Ex bass player of Isolysis, Emperor Chung, & The Parallax Method). Ben Finch (DB Trio & The Parallax Method bassist) was unavailable, and DanDan galiantly saved the day. Massive thanks to him, and a superb performance that he should be proud of! Lot's of fun!
This blog entry is primarily to announce the release of a Vlog from Oxjam. It is a long video, so I apologise, but there are live clips from the show, some analysis, home truths about my vocal journey, and I talk about the guitar rig I used.
Old faithful! The trusty PRS Singlecut 2003!
"While much of our body continuously renews itself, some essential cells—like those in our brain, heart, and eyes—are never replaced and stay with us from the day we are born"
Random, I know, but relevant.
Re-fretted by Andy Avison from Nottingham City Guitars.
Replacement locking Gotoh SD-90 tuners and bone nut.
BKP The Mules installed.
PRS Core Tremonti wiring loom.
PRS adjustable wrapover bridge.
The wood is all original though!

My guitar was powered by the incredible OR30 and PPC212OB from Orange Amps.
For those interested, I tend to jack the mids, and lower the bass. The treble and presence controls depend heavily on the room itself. Gain is around 11-12 o'clock.
Industry standard Celestian Vintage 30s in the open-back speaker cabinet. The speakers in this cab have been worked heavily for several years now, and they have a feel that I am most comfortable with. Pretty warm sounding and a thick midrange.

The pedalboard of shame!
Not much to talk about here, but I fashioned this DIY pedalboard out of MDF, and mounted the underwhelming selection of pedals, only a day before the show.
The Boss SD-1 works so well with this amp, gain round 9 o'clock, volume around noon.
The Maestro Discovery analog delay is a very recent acquisition. I wanted some ambience to hide behind really. The warmer/darker repeats work well in the FX loop, and stay out of the way of any transients. A must when playing anything that is economy picked.

I do hope you enjoy the Vlog. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment below.
